TURTLE SPOTTING IN LAGANAS BAY

One of the best places to spot turtles is near Marathonisi islet in Laganas Bay, also known as “Turtle Island”. The islet is a part of the Marine Park of Zakynthos and is protected by the Greek government in order to preserve the Caretta-Caretta sea turtle. In this video you get a glimpse of Laganas Village and an unforgettable experience captured by tourists snorkelling in the bay. The best times to spot turtles are between May and October as they come to lay eggs and breed.
